New building
In April 2002, the building permit for the new low-energy building on Leipzigstrasse was granted. In September 2004 the building was put into operation. The building has an underground car park with 148 parking spaces. A large roofed inner courtyard, which was originally planned as an atrium , serves as the central open roofed auditorium for the entire school. The heat is provided by a wood pellet heating system with a peak load boiler with an output of 110 kW. The low concrete core activation requires a maximum flow temperature of 28 ° C. It can fall back on a year-round groundwater temperature of 10 to 12 ° C. The heat pumps thus achieve an excellent level of efficiency.
Daylight simulations were able to optimize the surface quality, window formation and atrium roofing in the planning phase. The individual skylights between the classrooms and the corridor have also been optimized in terms of daylight use.
