The war memorial is the memorial for the fallen soldiers of the First and Second World War in Gehrden in the Hanover region in Lower Saxony .

The listed building is on Kirchstrasse at the Margarethenkirche in Gehrden.

A total of 227 Gehrden soldiers were killed in the First and Second World Wars. Their names are recorded in a memorial book in the town hall . Consisting Wealden - sandstone built monument called the names and dates of the First World War fallen. The general inscription on a stone tablet made of Soest green sandstone a few steps below the monument is intended to commemorate the Gehrdeners who fell in World War II .

In 2014, the Heimatbund Lower Saxony sought to commemorate the names of those killed in World War II with a new memorial.
