Spiritual movement "Vivere In"
The spiritual movement "Vivere In" ( en .: "Living In" Spirituality Movement ; Italian : Movimento di Spiritualità "Vivere In" ) is an association of believers in the Roman Catholic Church . It was founded in Rome in 1958 and was papally recognized in 2001 as an international community of believers. The movement has around 15,000 members spread across 16 countries worldwide.
history
The Spiritual Movement was founded in 1958 on the initiative of Don Nicola Giordiani . He was inspired at the place of the martyrdom of St. Paul , in Tre Fontane near Rome , and referred in his spiritual reference to the letter to the Romans of the Apostle Paul, who writes in chapter 8 about "The life of Christians in the Spirit" ( Rom 8 EU ) , from this the word term "Vivere In" ( de .: analogously: we live or in life) is included. In 1968 the community was canonically recognized by the Archbishop of Trani Reginaldo Giuseppe Maria Addazi OP (1899–1975) . On December 8, 2001, the Spiritual Movement “Vivere In” received recognition from the Pontifical Council for the Laity as part of the international community of believers under papal law and was included in the official register .
Self-image
"Vivere In" advocates an authentic humanism that is based on the life of Jesus Christ . They understand man as the image of God and human community as the body of Christ . The movement expects its members to be apostolic and to testify to the truth of the gospel . Her fields of work are in the family , school , politics and society .
Organization and expansion
The individual groups are integrated into the church structures, the membership consists of "friends", "sympathizers" and "members". Depending on their affiliation, the group members commit to different training levels, promises and work areas. Meeting of the groups are the "Cenacoli" the Supper halls . The movement includes the secular institute "Jesus Victima" and the "Priestly Community of Our Lord Jesus Christ", and it also maintains spiritual centers, rest homes in Italy , a training center in San José di Costa Rica and a youth center in Panama City . It has around 15,000 enrolled members in 16 countries in Africa , Europe , North America and South America worldwide .
