The Yellow Trumpet Flower ( Tecoma stans ), sometimes called Yellow catalpa or Yellow Trumpet Flower called, is a plant type from the family of the Bignoniaceae (Bignoniaceae).

The home of the yellow trumpet flower extends from Mexico to Peru . Today it is planted as an ornamental plant all over the tropics.
description
The yellow trumpet flower grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree and reaches heights of 6 to 9 meters. The opposite leaves are imparipinnate, with 3 to 13 serrate, 8 to 10 cm long leaflets.
The golden yellow flowers are in clusters at the branch ends, are bell-shaped-funnel-shaped, five-lobed (with weak two-lipped), often reddish-veined in the throat and 3.5 to 8.5 cm long.
The fruits arise from two carpels and are up to 25 cm long, narrow capsules.

The yellow trumpet flower has proven to be an invasive species and has spread widely in the tropical coastal regions of Polynesia and Australia , especially in northern Queensland .
