Gelincik (Kurd. Erûsek or Ersek ) is a village in Dicle County in the Turkish province of Diyarbakır . Gelincik is located in eastern Anatolia at 870 m above sea level, about 10 km northeast of Dicle.
The name Gelincik ("Little Bride") is the turquoise form of the original name Arusek. Erûs (kurd.) Also means “bride”.
In 2000 there were 479 people in Gelincik. In 2009 the village had 663 inhabitants.
