The Gell River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

River course

The river has its source on the eastern slopes of Conical Mountain in the western part of the Denison Range and flows northeast. Soon after its source, it flows through Lake Curly . At the northern end of the mountains it flows into the Gordon River .

In its entire length, the Gell River runs through completely uninhabited area in the eastern part of the Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park .
