General Santos International Airport , also known as General Santos City Airport , is a regionally operating commercial airport in the island state of the Philippines and is located in the south of the second largest island of Mindanao .
General Santos International Airport is approximately 14 kilometers from the General Santos business center. The 6-kilometer Philippine-American Friendship Road and the 30-kilometer General Santos Diversion Road connect the airport with the Pan Philippine Highway and lead to the city and the neighboring provinces.

General Santos International Airport has a 3,227 meter long illuminated runway 17/35. This was built from reinforced concrete and gravel. The runway is the third longest in the Philippines after runway 06/24 from Ninoy Aquino International Airport and 04/22 from Mactan-Cebu International Airport , which is also suitable for the Airbus A380 .
