Grünhof is a part of the community of Fremdingen in the Bavarian - Swabian district of Donau-Ries .

location

The wasteland lies on a southern slope between the bacon and ox forest. A local road, crossing the B 25 , leads to Fremdingen, 2.3 km to the east. To the south is the Hofweiher through which the Hofweihergraben flows. To the west of this is a wetland with many rare animal and plant species.

history

The name of the place probably comes from the meadows surrounding it.

In the vicinity of the courtyard traces from the Neolithic and the Roman Empire were found . With the sale of the Hochaltingen estate, the estate came to the barons of Welden , who sold it to the princes of Oettingen-Spielberg in 1764 . In 1956 it came into private hands.
