Geneviève Delali Tsegah

Geneviève Delali Tsegah (born August 8, 1951 ) is a Ghanaian diplomat .

Career

Tsegah graduated from the University of Ghana in 1976 with a degree in Modern Languages . He graduated from the University of Nairobi with a degree in international relations in 1982 .

From 1977 she entered the diplomatic service. During her time as a civil servant, she was responsible for the Culture Departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (until 1981), Middle East and Asia (until 1983), Ministry of Foreign Affairs Protocol (until 1985) from 1977 to 1989. After a three-year break, she was responsible for the department from 1988 to 1989, for the last time as a civil servant. She was Legation Counselor in Paris for four years, from 1989 to 1993. She became Deputy Director of the Economy, Trade and Investment Department in 1993 and held this position until 1996. From 1996 she worked as an embassy counselor in Cotonou , Benin , from 1997 to 1998 she worked there as chargé d'affaires. In 2000 she took over the management of the Department of Economy, Trade and Investment. She was Minister for Embassy in Ouagadougou ( Burkina Faso ) from 2002 to 2006. After four years as Minister, she took over the position of Director for Economy, Trade and Investment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the second time, after 2002. From 2008 to 2009 she was the deputy permanent representative at the UN headquarters in New York City . From January 15, 2010 to October 14, 2014 she was the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana in Paris and was accredited by UNESCO and the Holy See .
