Genner Sogn (until October 1, 2010: Genner Kirkedistrikt ( German: church district ) in Øster Løgum Sogn ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in Northern Schleswig in southern Denmark . Until October 1, 2010 it was only a church district in Øster Løgum Sogn. When all church districts in Denmark were dissolved on this date, it became an independent Sogn.

history
Until 1970 Øster Løgum Sogn belonged to Harde Sønder Rangstrup Herred in what was then Aabenraa-Sønderborg Amt , then to Rødekro Kommune in Sønderjyllands Amt , which was merged into Aabenraa Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .
