Geoffrey Muller

Geoffrey Muller also Geoff Muller (born November 30, 1916 , † April 2, 1994 in Surrey ) was a British film editor and film director .

Life

Geoffrey Muller earned his first spurs as an assistant editor in productions such as Mr. Emmanuel (1944) by director Harold French or Ausgestoben (1947) by Sir Carol Reed .

From 1951 he worked as an editor for numerous productions in British cinema, often for dramas, action, crime or horror films. He has worked for directors such as Jeffrey Dell , Michael McCarthy, Vernon Sewell, Charles Crichton , Richard Vernon, Wolf Rilla , Alec C. Snowden, Peter Maxwell and Arthur Crabtree . Most often he was a partner for the two directors Ken Hughes and Montgomery Tully . Since 1963 and the two episodes for the series The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theater , he also worked for television.

In 1959 he directed The Witness, his first own feature film. A short film each followed in the same year and 1960.

Geoffrey Muller died in 1994 at the age of 77.
