Geoffrey Patterson

Geoffrey Lucius Patterson is an American sound engineer .

Life

Patterson began his career as a television sound assistant, working on the television series MacGyver and Inspector Hooperman , among others . From the beginning of the 1990s he also worked as a sound assistant for film, including Flatliners - Today is a beautiful day to die and For the Boys - days of fame, days of love , but in both cases without naming in the credits. From 1990 he began to work as a sound engineer, for example in the Hollywood hit The usual suspects . 1997 he worked for Twister along with Steve Maslow , Gregg Landaker and Kevin O'Connell for the Oscar in the category Sound Best nominated. A second nomination came in 2010 , along with Greg P. Russell and Gary Summers, for Transformers . For his work for television, he was also nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy , twice for the series Deadwood (2005 and 2007) and for True Detective (2016).
