Geoffroy Krantz (born December 3, 1981 in Gien , France ) is a former French handball player .

The 1.88-meter-tall backcourt player played since his youth at HBC Gien Loiret in his home town, where he also received his first professional contract in 1998. In 2000 he moved to the French series champion Montpellier HB in the 1st French handball league. The Southern French he won in the seasons 2001/02, 2002/03, 2003/04, 2004/05 and 2005/06, the French Cup , 2000/01, 2001/02, 2002/03, 2004/05 and 2005/06 the French Cup , 2003/04, 2004/05, 2005/06 and 2006/07 the League Cup and 2002/03 the EHF Champions League . In summer 2007 he moved to VfL Gummersbach in the 1st handball league . He won the EHF Cup with VfL in 2009 and the European Cup Winners ' Cup in 2010 and 2011 . For the 2011/12 season he moved to the French first division club Saint-Raphaël Var Handball . After Krantz tested positive for nandrolone in a doping control in January 2014 , he was initially banned by the French handball federation for a year, but he was able to reduce the ban to six months through an appeal. He ended his career after the 2017/18 season.

Geoffroy Krantz has played 29 international matches for the French men's national handball team . At the European Handball Championship in 2006 he was European champion . At the 2007 World Cup , he was only in the extended squad of the French and did not take part in the finals.
