Georg Bayer (association official)

Georg Bayer (born March 30, 1920 in Langensendelbach ; † March 27, 2007 in Marloffstein ) was a German association official.

Career

In 1945, Bayer joined the Gossen-Stadtkapelle Erlangen and was a founding member until 1981. From 1956 he was chairman of the Middle Franconia district. From 1963 to 1984 he was President of the North Bavarian Music Association (NBMB), having been Vice President from 1957, and Honorary President until his death . He was also president of the Bavarian Folk Music Association. In 1978 he was also elected Vice President of the Federal Association of German Music Associations and in 1982 he received the association's ring of honor.
