Georg Bubolz

Georg Bubolz (born May 6, 1951 in Essen ) is a German theologian , educationalist and philosopher .

Career history

After finishing school in Düsseldorf, Georg Bubolz studied from 1969 in Bonn , Freiburg / Br. and Dortmund Catholic theology, educational science and philosophy. He received his doctorate in educational science with a didactic thesis, is a graduate theologian and has passed the state examination in philosophy for the teaching post of upper secondary level. After his studies and clerkship, he worked as a teacher at schools in Erkelenz , Dusseldorf and Korschenbroich operating was Fachleiter of Catholic religious education in high schools and comprehensive schools in Dusseldorf (from 1990) and Krefeld (from 1996).

From 2001 he was head of the school department at the Düsseldorf district government a . a. with the departments “Catholic, Jewish, Orthodox and Syriac Orthodox Religious Education ” , as well as temporarily “Islamic Instruction” and “Evangelical Religious Education ” , “ Educational Science ” and “ Psychology ”. As chairman of curriculum commissions, he was involved in the creation of curricula for Catholic religious teaching, Orthodox religious teaching, Syriac Orthodox religious teaching and Jewish religious teaching in North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2008 he retired.

Focus

The focus of his religious didactic work is the implementation of a "theology of the other" based on the Protestant theologian Karl Ernst Nipkow in the practice of religious education. In denominational religious instruction, too, conversations with Protestant and Catholic Christians, with the oriental churches and with Orthodoxy should be stimulated and cultivated. The dialogue with Judaism remains a priority.

  • Non-fiction book “The Book of the Pope: Jesus von Nazareth” , 2007 (Patmos Verlag, Düsseldorf) was the first commentary on Joseph Ratzinger's Jesus book / Pope Benedict XVI.
