Georg Buol

Georg Buol (born April 23, 1787 in Parpan ; † July 28, 1862 there ) was a Swiss politician.

Life

Georg Buol studied law at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen . In 1803 he became a member of the Onoldia Corps . After graduating, he lived as a landowner in the canton of Graubünden .

A total of 41 years has been Buol Mayor of Parpan. In his function as Bundslandammann of the Ten Courts Federation , he was a member of the Small Council , the cantonal government of the Canton of Graubünden , for the electoral periods 1822/1823, 1831/1832, 1834/1835 and 1837/1838 . From 1826 he was a cantonal judge in Graubünden. In the years 1824, 1832 and 1833 he was the envoy of the Canton of Graubünden to the Swiss Diet . His political commitment was to improve the education system , forestry and justice . In 1842 he was President of the Reform Association of the Graubünden Cantonal Constitution.

Buol was a canton colonel and president of the military commission.
