Georg Friedrich Bunge

Georg Friedrich Bunge (* 1722 in Stallupönen , Prussia ; † 1792 in Kiev ) was a German pharmacist and the founder of the German Evangelical Lutheran Congregation in Kiev .

Act

Georg Friedrich Bunge was the son-in-law of the German pharmacist Geiter , who founded the first civil pharmacy in Kiev in the mid-18th century . Georg Friedrich Bunge acted as head of the community and promoted it by having the tutor of his children, Christoph Leberecht Grahl (1744–1799), act as pastor of the community, who later also became his son-in-law.

family

Georg Friedrich Bunge had four daughters and eight sons. His son Christian Gottlieb Bunge studied medicine and taught at Moscow University and Kiev University . Another son, Andreas Bunge, took over his father's pharmacy and in turn became the father of the lawyer and legal historian Friedrich Georg von Bunge and the botanist Alexander von Bunge . Both taught at the University of Dorpat .
