Georg Friedrich Einicke
Georg Friedrich Einicke (born April 16, 1710 in Hohlstedt (Großschwabhausen) , † January 20, 1770 in Nordhausen ) was a German cantor and composer .
Life
Einicke received his first musical training from his father. He attended school for three years in the Donndorf monastery and for another four in Sangerhausen . From 1732 to 1737 he studied in Leipzig , where he became a student of Johann Sebastian Bach and Johann Adolph Scheibe . After his father's death in 1737, he succeeded him as cantor in Hohlstedt. In 1746 he was first cantor and music director in Frankenhausen and then in 1757 in Nordhausen .
Most of his compositions have to be considered lost, only in the manuscript collection in the SUB Göttingen are some copies and autographs of cantatas and motets .
