Georg Friedrich Wiesand

Georg Friedrich Wiesand (born August 13, 1777 in Wittenberg , † October 27, 1842 in Dresden ) was a lawyer , manor owner and member of the Saxon state parliament .

Wiesand was the son of the doctor of law and appeal councilor Georg Stephan Wiesand (1736-1821). After his school education, he studied in Wittenberg at the Leucorea Jura.

Career

After completing his studies, he worked as a lawyer for a while and became a private lecturer at Leucorea. In 1800 he was given the post of district judge in Gommern , which he held until 1805. He moved to Barby , where he became mayor of the town and town councilor . In 1808 he became mayor of the municipality and from 1815 held the position of legal consultant in Lauchstädt . In 1815 he wrote a dissertation and earned the title "Doctor of Laws". Thereupon he received the office of rent clerk in Bad Lauchstädt and was appointed to the royal Saxon commissioner .

At the same time he was the hereditary lord of the Jeßnitz manor in Upper Lusatia . By members of the Oberlausitzer knighthood he was in the Saxon stands shank selected. With that began his political career. In 1833/34 he was a representative of the manor owners of Upper Lusatia in Chamber II of the Saxon State Parliament . He was also a member of the Upper Lusatian Society of Sciences, the natural research society in Görlitz .

He died in Dresden at the age of 64.
