Georg Hannibal Hermann von Hertzberg

Baron Georg Hannibal Hermann von Hertzberg (born February 16, 1817 in Heuckewalde ; † January 5, 1905 in Dresden ) was a German politician, member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Saxony and the owner of the manor .

Life

He came from the the baron raised Thuringian noble family of Hertzberg (later called Herzberg) and was the son of the Prussian major, pin Director and landowner Hannibal von Hertzberg .

After his father left the Prussian provincial parliament as a representative of the knighthood of the Naumburg-Zeitz monastery at the beginning of 1853 , he took over its mandate. At the same time, his father had left him from the Heuckewalde manor with Hermsdorf in the Zeitz district . His two deputies were the manor owner von Haugk zu Silbitz in the Zeitz district and Count von der Schulenburg on Zangenberg zu Beetzendorf in the Altmark .

In the last years of his life he turned away from the Kingdom of Prussia and settled in the Saxon state capital Dresden, where he died at the age of 88.

family

On June 30, 1853, he married Agnes, née von Heynitz, from the Heynitz family near Meißen. The son Hannibal Ehrenreich Ernst, who was born in Heuckewalde in 1854 and called himself Baron von Herzenberg, emerged from this marriage.

His estate is now managed as part of the Heuckewalde manor archive in the Saxony-Anhalt state archive at the Wernigerode location .
