Georg wood
Georg Holz (born December 24, 1863 in Chemnitz , † June 2, 1921 in Leipzig ) was a German philologist, Germanist, literary historian and professor.
Life
Holz received his doctorate in 1889 at the University of Leipzig with a thesis on the song from the rose garden to Worms . A year later he completed his habilitation. From 1890 to 1896 he taught as a private lecturer, from 1896 to 1921 as a professor at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Leipzig.
