Georg Keßler (District Administrator)

Maximilian Anton Friedrich Georg Keßler (born July 17, 1851 in Solingen ; † June 26, 1910 in Berlin ) was a German administrative officer, most recently a senior administrative judge and chief of police in Magdeburg.

Life

Georg Keßler's father Anton Keßler was a senior councilor in Arnsberg . Georg Keßler studied law and camera science at the University of Göttingen , the University of Bonn and at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Berlin . In 1872 he was appointed court trainee; he was employed in the judicial service in Westphalia until 1877. On June 1 of this year he moved to general administration, where he was appointed government assessor; he worked in Hildesheim and Berlin. After the death of Ferdinand Ochs , he was provisionally assigned to August 24, 1879 and finally the district administrator in the Gersfeld district on April 28, 1880 . From June 18, 1882 he was employed by the police chief of Berlin . On November 12, 1885, he was appointed police director in Kassel . He was later appointed police chief in Magdeburg . In 1905 he received the title of Higher Administrative Court Councilor.

Georg Keßler was married to Huberta (née von Schenk ) on October 18, 1879 .
