Georg Lünenborg
Georg Lünenborg (born October 18, 1907 in Mönchengladbach , † April 23, 1972 in Cologne ; full name: Georg Maria Lünenborg ) was a German architect , interior designer and university professor .
Life
He completed his studies with Professor Fritz Thoma.
From 1933 he went into business for himself and ran an architecture office in Stuttgart and later in Braunschweig .
After the Second World War he was appointed to the Braunschweig University of Fine Arts , then switched to the Cologne Werkschulen as a lecturer in 1948 , was appointed professor in the 1960s and headed a class for architecture and interior design until he left in 1967.
Together with his older brother, the glass painter Hans Lünenborg , he worked on a number of sacred and secular buildings in Cologne.
The catalog raisonné and the estate of Hans and Georg Lünenborg were handed over to the Historical Archives of the City of Cologne (as holdings from 1398 ). After the accident in 2009, finds from the 1398 holdings were transferred to the Archive-NRW.
