Georg "Schorsch" Mascetti (born April 9, 1930 in Saarbrücken , † August 1, 1982 in Düsseldorf ) was a German swimmer who competed for the Saarland .

biography

Georg Mascetti was the only swimmer in the Saarland delegation at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki . He started in the 400 meter freestyle , but retired in the preliminary run. Because of this poor result, Mascetti decided not to start in the 1500 meter freestyle . In total he was able to win eleven Saarland championship titles.
