Georg Rieve
Georg Rieve (born May 20, 1888 in Tating ; † June 4, 1966 in Flensburg ) was a German architect .
Life
Georg Rieve worked for decades as an architect in Flensburg, where his older brother Theodor (1878–1959) was also a city planner.
He erected some notable buildings in the forms of the Heimatschutz Style , Brick Expressionism, and New Building . Rieve was a close friend of Emil Nolde , whom he supported in the planning and construction of his home and studio in Seebüll . After Nolde's death, Rieve was a founding member of the Nolde Board of Trustees.
