Georg Schulenburg (born June 19, 1872 in Hanover , † August 21, 1963 in Bad Harzburg ) was a businessman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schulenburg attended elementary school in Paderborn , grammar schools in Paderborn and Dortmund up to the Abitur exams and was then an apprentice in Hamburg from 1893 to 1895 . After the year of service he spent two and a half years in Birmingham (England) and one year in Paris . From 1900 he was co-owner of the Schwollmann brothers' colonial goods wholesaler in Soest . He served in the Hanoverian Field Artillery Regiment No. 10 and was first lieutenant in the reserve in the 1st Westphalian Field Artillery Regiment No. 7 . Furthermore, he was chairman of the Soest Warrior and Landwehr Association and the Soest District Warrior Association, city councilor in Soest and holder of the 2nd class military service award .

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency district of Arnsberg 7 ( Hamm , Soest ) and the National Liberal Party .
