Georg Schumacher (born September 3, 1803 in Bremen ; † July 11, 1877 ibid) was a German lawyer and Bremen senator .

biography

Schumacher was the son of the lawyer Heinrich Gerhard Schumacher (1763-1845) and his wife Metta Lucia (1776-1818). He was the nephew of Mayor Isak Hermann Albrecht Schumacher (1780-1853). He was unmarried and lived at Am Wall 55.
He completed his school days in Bremen. From 1822 and 1824 he studied law at the University of Göttingen , from 1823 at the University of Heidelberg and he obtained his doctorate in 1825 in Göttingen. jur.

From 1837 to 1847 he was the successor of Caspar von Lingen Bremen Senator. In 1847 he became a member of the judges' college. He was a member of the theater association from 1841 and supported the construction of the Bremen City Theater from 1843 on the bishop's needle bastion in the Bremen ramparts .
