Georg Stanford Brown

Georg Stanford Brown (born June 24, 1943 in Havana , Cuba ) is an American actor and television director of Cuban origin.

Life

As an actor, Brown made his debut in the late 1960s and from then on predominantly played roles on television. Between 1972 and 1976 he played one of the leading roles in the crime series California Cops - New in Action . He played his most famous role in German-speaking countries in 1977 as Tom Harvey in the series Roots . In 1986 he was seen as Grady in the series Torches in the Storm . Since the mid-1970s, Brown has also frequently worked as a director for American television. He directed individual episodes of Charlie's Angels , Starsky & Hutch and Miami Vice , among others . Brown was married to actress Tyne Daly from 1966 to 1990 , with whom he has three daughters. Both daughter Kathryne Dora Brown is also an actress.
