Since the community finances his college fees, however, the choice falls, to the disapproval of his best friend Play for training. Play believes it has found a record producer in Sheila Landreaux who promises him a contract. Since they are currently plagued by money, Play jumps in with kids' college money.

Meanwhile, Kid struggles with Zora, his girlfriend Sidney's feminist roommate, and a class on Malcolm X in college , before realizing he doesn't have the money. Play tries to get it back, but the record company doesn't know Sheila, which is how he realizes he's been caught by a cheater. So the money is gone and the kid has to somehow figure out how he can stay at university. He takes a job in the kitchen while Play and Bilal think about earning the money they need to pay kids fees with the help of a house party at college. After Miles tries to get close to Kid's friend Sidney, he arranges for Kid to lose his student status, which means that he can no longer work as a kitchen helper.

Meanwhile, Stab and his boys, who got a job at the university's security service, want to prevent the party. While they are unsuccessfully trying to find the party, Play accidentally discovers Sheila at the party and follows her. There is a major chase that ends on the roof. The problems are solved. Sidney gets back together with Kid and the party can continue successfully. Until Stab and his boys suddenly disrupt the party. Dean Kramer appears, praises Stab for his commitment, ends the party, fires Miles and then Sheila is arrested. In the end, Kid thinks he has to leave university because of money problems. He says goodbye to everyone and thinks he'll come back sometime. But Play hands him the necessary money and says that he sees it as an investment. So kid can stay at university after all.

criticism

“Much more concerned with serious satire than its predecessor, the film focuses primarily on black identity, but also on female identity. There is hardly any shallow slapstick, and the synchronization also knows how to convey the pun. "
