Georg Triller
Georg Triller (born August 12, 1855 in Neumarkt-Holzheim ; † September 5, 1926 in Eichstätt ) was dean and vicar general in the diocese of Eichstätt .
Life
Georg Triller was ordained a priest in 1880 after completing his studies in Eichstätt . He was active as a pastor in various parishes; 1881-1883 he was chaplain at the Santa Maria dell'Anima in Rome and was at the Pontifical Gregorian University with a thesis on the ecclesiology Eichstätter for Doctor of theology doctorate . From 1888 to 1894 he was Subregens at the seminary in Eichstätt and then city pastor in Beilngries . In 1900 the Eichstätter cathedral chapter elected him cathedral capital , as well as Defensor matrimonii . On February 20, 1900, the Eichstatt Bishop Franz Leopold von Leonrod appointed him his vicar general and on June 21, 1902 as director of the ordinariate . He held these offices under Bishop Johannes Leo von Mergel until 1924. In 1907 he became cathedral dean through royal nomination by Luitpold of Bavaria .
Act
In 1895 Triller was a co-founder of the Upper Palatinate Christian Farmers' Association, which was politically assigned to the Center Party . He significantly supported the Catholic Teachers' Association and the Catholic Women's Association .
On July 15, 1901, he founded the Catholic Press Association for Bavaria in Munich and was its spiritual director for many years. The press association became a model for the establishment of similar associations in some European countries.
He published a series of books in the spirit of Francis de Sales , called "Soul Light".
