NFL

Kittle was selected 146th in the 2017 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers in the 5th round .

In the last game of the 2018 season in the 32:48 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on December 30, 2018, Kittle with his last pass catch and Travis Kelce in the game of the Kansas City Chiefs against the Oakland Raiders broke the seven-year-old record of Rob Gronkowski (1,327 Yards) for the greatest gain in space a tight end can break within a season. With his 1,377 yards he exceeded Kelce's record (1,336 yards), which Kelce had set up just a few minutes earlier. At the same time, this meant a new team record for pass catches of a tight end. His 870 yards of space gained after catching the pass ( yards after catch) was also a league-wide best performance for tight ends within a season. No player has achieved a better value since the 2010 season .
