George Laurence Craven

George Laurence Craven (born February 1, 1884 in Wednesbury , Staffordshire , Great Britain , † March 15, 1967 ) was a British clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Westminster .

Life

George Laurence Craven received on 29 June 1912, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 14, 1947, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Sebastopolis in Armenia and auxiliary bishop in Westminster. The Archbishop of Westminster, Bernard William Cardinal Griffin , donated him episcopal ordination on July 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop of Westminster, Edward Myers , and the bishop of Portsmouth , John Henry King .

George Laurence Craven attended the first session of the Second Vatican Council .
