John Stephen Vaughan

John Stephen Vaughan (born January 24, 1853 in Courtfield , parish Ross-on-Wye , Herefordshire , Great Britain , † December 4, 1925 ) was a British clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Salford .

Life

John Stephen Vaughan was a younger brother of the Archbishop of Sydney Roger William Bede Vaughan , his uncle was the Bishop of Plymouth William Vaughan . He received on June 4, 1876 by the Bishop of Salford, Herbert Vaughan , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 13, 1909 Pope appointed him Pius X to the titular bishop of Sebastopolis in Armenia and the Auxiliary Bishop of Salford. The Archbishop of Westminster , Francis Alphonsus Bourne , donated him episcopal ordination on August 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop at Westminster, Patrick Fenton , and the bishop of Salford, Louis Charles Casartelli .
