George Vass
George T. Vass (born April 1, 1928 in Budapest , † July 28, 2013 in Innsbruck ) was a Hungarian Roman Catholic theologian and clergyman .
Life
After graduating from high school in 1946, he entered the Jesuit order and began studying philosophy in Szeged . In March 1949 he came to Austria as a refugee . Two semesters of study in Innsbruck followed training periods in Chieri and Löwen . After working in St. Blasien within the Order , he was sent to England in 1954 . There he acquired in Oxford the licentiate , then in 1961 in Rome the doctorate in theology . He then taught philosophy and theology at Heythrop College . In 1976 he became professor for dogmatics at the University of Innsbruck . In October 1996 he retired .
