Giorgi Lomaia

Giorgi Lomaia ( Georgian გიორგი ლომაია ; born August 8, 1979 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian football player . He is 1.93 m tall and weighs 83 kg.

The 25-time Georgian international goalkeeper began his career at Dinamo Tbilisi , where he played until 1998. 1998/99 he was under contract with Merani-91 Tbilisi , 1999 again with Dinamo Tbilisi, 2000 to 2003 with local rivals Lokomotiv Tbilisi , 2003 to 2004 with Spartak Moscow and 2004 to 2005 with FK Chimki . He then played for Lutsch-Energija Vladivostok and moved from there to the German second division club FC Carl Zeiss Jena during the winter break of 2006/07 , where he replaced Christian Person as regular goalkeeper and secured relegation with great parades. After the end of the season he left FC Carl Zeiss Jena with his Georgian compatriot Micheil Aschwetia . He played in the 2007/08 season for the Ukrainian club FK Karpaty Lviv , then he returned to Georgia and ran again for Lokomotive Tbilisi and Olimpi Rustavi . From 2009 to 2016 Lomaia played for İnter Baku in Azerbaijan . He then returned to his hometown club Dinamo Tbilisi.
