The FC Metalurgi Rustawi ( Georgian მეტალურგი რუსთავი ; until 2011 FC Olimpi Rustawi ) is a football club from the Georgian city of Rustavi . The club's stadium is the Poladi Stadium, which has a capacity of 12,000. Metalurgi Rustawi was formed from the merger of the Georgian clubs Olimpi Tiflis and FC Tiflis in 2006. In 2007, the club won the Umaghlessi League , the top Georgian league , for the first time .
In the 2007/08 season, the club took part in the first qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League , but lost 0-0 and 0-3 at the Kazakh champions FK Astana .
The club lost in the second qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League in the 2010/11 season to the Kazakh champions FK Aqtöbe with 0-2 and 1-1.
The best-known player in the current squad is Georgian national player Levan Silagadze , who has so far played 21 international matches for his country.
