Gerald Pittner

Gerald Pittner (born July 20, 1960 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale ) is a German politician ( free voters ) and member of the Bavarian state parliament .

Career

Gerald Pittner passed his Abitur in 1979 at the Rhön-Gymnasium Bad Neustadt and then did basic military service . From 1980 to 1986 he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He completed his legal clerkship from 1986 to 1989 with the judiciary in Augsburg , the government of Upper Franconia and the German Business Office in Taipei ( Taiwan ). After the second state examination in law, he worked as a public prosecutor in Traunstein from 1989 and from 1991 was seconded to the Chemnitz public prosecutor's office in the same position . He has been a judge at the Bad Neustadt an der Saale district court since 1993, and has also been the director's permanent representative since 2011.

Gerald Pittner is married, has a grown daughter and lives in Bad Neustadt an der Saale.

politics

Pittner has been a member of the Free Voters since 2007 and was its deputy chairman in Bad Neustadt from 2008 to 2017. In the Rhön-Grabfeld district he was deputy district chairman of the Free Voters from 2008 and has been at its head since 2011. Since 2012 he has been one of the four deputy chairmen in Lower Franconia .

He has been a member of the Bad Neustadt an der Saale city council since May 1, 2008, and has been a parliamentary group spokesman for his party since autumn 2008. He has been a member of the district council of the Rhön-Grabfeld district since May 1, 2014; associated with this, he exercises several mandates as an association or supervisory board.

In the state elections on October 14, 2018 , he was elected as the top candidate - at the same time with the highest number of votes - from the list of the constituency of Lower Franconia in the Bavarian state parliament. Pittner is currently a member of the Committee on Public Service Questions and a member of the Committee on State Budget and Financial Matters.
