Gerd Frey (born May 18, 1966 in Merseburg ) is a German writer.

Life

After his apprenticeship in the printing industry, he headed the Fantastik-Literaturclub Andymon in the Berlin Kulturbund from 1986 to 1991 , and in 1990 he was one of the founders of Alien Contact . He made his debut as an author with two short stories in the volume of short stories The long way to the blue star edited by Michael Szameit . Some of his short stories have been nominated for the Kurd-Laßwitz and SFCD literature awards.

Since 1996 he has published an annual overview of the computer games of the year in the yearbook Das Science Fiction Jahr . From the beginning of 2006 to the end of 2011 Gerd Frey was in charge of the Games View division of the now discontinued Space View magazine . After a break, his short story traveling salesman was published by Wurdack-Verlag in 2011 .

Since 2012 he has been in charge of the PC games division of the media magazine Geek! from the Panini publishing house.
