Gerd Rinck

Gerd Rinck (born July 21, 1910 in Stendal ; † February 13, 2007 in Göttingen ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

As the son of Max Rinck and his wife Gertrud (née Hertel), he studied law in Freiburg / Breisgau, Königsberg / Prussia, Munich, Halle (Saale) and in Cambridge / GB. His doctorate took place in 1935. In 1937 he passed the exam to become an assessor .

From 1953 to 1958 he was Ministerialrat in the Federal Ministry of Justice . He then taught civil law and business law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen as a full professor at the Faculty of Law until his retirement .

From 1982 to 1986, after having been a member of the city council for many years, he was Lord Mayor of the city of Göttingen. He had been married to Gertrud Ehrlich since 1939. The marriage had four children.
