Gerda Riedl

Gerda Riedl (born October 11, 1961 in Augsburg ) is a Catholic theologian and professor of dogmatics .

Life

After graduating from high school at the Wernher von Braun-Gymnasium in Friedberg took the winter semester 1981/82 at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich a teaching degree with the subjects Latin and Catholic religious doctrine on. In the 1985/86 winter semester, she began a second degree with a Masters in German language and medieval literature , modern German literature and Catholic theology . In spring 1988 she passed the first state examination and in February 1991 the master’s examination .

From 1990 Riedl completed a doctoral degree at the University of Augsburg . From 1992 to 1997 Riedl was a research assistant at the chair for canon law at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Augsburg. In 1997, with a dissertation on the Assisi model - Christian prayer and interreligious dialogue in the context of salvation history, she became a Dr. theol. PhD . From 1997 to 2005 she was a research assistant at the same chair.

In 2003 Riedl completed his habilitation in dogmatics with the work Hermeneutic Basic Structures of Early Christian Confession Formation . Since 2004 she has been visiting professor for dogmatics at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Innsbruck . From 2005 to the 2006/07 winter semester, she was a deputy chair in the subject of dogmatics at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Augsburg.

Since 2007 she has been an adjunct professor for dogmatics at the University of Augsburg. In addition, she is head of Department VI: Basic Issues: Faith and Teaching - University - Worship and Liturgy in the Ordinariate of the Diocese of Augsburg .

2014 was Gerda Riedl from the Cardinal Grand Master Edwin Frederick O'Brien Cardinal to Lady of the Equestrian Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem and appointed on 25 October 2014 in Freiburg Cathedral by Reinhard Cardinal Marx , invested into the Order, Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy.
