Gerhard Bahnschulte (born March 16, 1920 in Rath ; † March 20, 2005 in Bad Wünnenberg , Fürstenberg district , East Westphalia-Lippe ) was a German teacher and writer .

Gerhard Bahnschulte was a teacher in Rath from April 1, 1947 until the primary school was closed on August 1, 1968. The parents were Hermann Bahnschulte (* December 12, 1889 in Neheim , † April 13, 1948 in Rath) and Hedwig Sievers, (* May 24, 1888 in Duisburg ; † in the 20th century). Hermann Bahnschulte was also a teacher in Rath from 1919 to 1948. After the school closed, the Bahnschulte family moved to Brilon . Gerhard Bahnschulte taught there until he retired . Due to a war wound, he was wearing a prosthesis on his left arm .

Gerhard Bahnschulte had two children, namely the sons Ludger Johannes (born June 21, 1949) and Norbert (born March 2, 1951).

Bahnschulte wrote stories from his living environment. He never really gave names and places. He described his hometown z. B. as a small town in the east of the Düren district . The stories were published in many different organs, including B. in the church newspaper , the Liboriusblatt , the district yearbook Düren u. v. m.

The stories of Bahnschulte, which were often written in Dürener Platt , were published in a small booklet in 2012 by the Nörvenich municipal administration .
