Gerhard Bolaender
Gerhard Bolaender (born December 6, 1957 in Bochum ) is a German writer .
Life
Gerhard Bolaender grew up in Bochum . He studied German literature and political science and a doctorate with a thesis on Peter Handke and Botho Strauss for Doctor of Philosophy . Since 1982 he has lived as a freelance writer in Frankfurt am Main and Hagen .
He has been publishing poetry and prose since 1979 . He is a member of the Association of German Writers . In 1982 he received a work grant from the German Literature Fund and in 1986 and 1994 a work grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia .
