Gerhard Brümmer (born July 4, 1949 ) is a former German soccer player .

The defensive player Brümmer began his football career with the small company sports association Empor in Lübs in Western Pomerania . He then played in the youth teams of the GDR upper division club F.C. Hansa Rostock . Between 1966 and 1967 he was part of the GDR junior national team . With her he played eight international matches, three of them in the preliminary round at the UEFA youth tournament in May 1967 in Turkey. After completing school, he completed an apprenticeship as a fitter. In the men's area, Brümmer was used for the first time in the 2nd team of FC Hansa with the beginning of the second half of the 1967/68 season in the second-rate GDR league . Shortly before his 18th birthday, he made his debut on the last day of the 1967/68 season for FC Hansa in the major league and thus contributed to the runner-up championship of the GDR that season.

Qualified by the runner-up for the forerunner competition of today's UEFA Cup , Brümmer came to four international appearances in the 1968/69 trade fair cup for FC Hansa, which, however, was eliminated against Fiorentina in the second round of the competition. In the league season 1968/69 Brümmer also completed 20 missions for the Ostseestädter, who were able to qualify for the trade fair cup again with fourth place in the final table. In 1969/70 Brümmer completed another three missions for Rostock in the trade fair cup, but the team was eliminated again in the second round against an Italian competitor, this time Inter Milan . In the major league 1969/70 Hansa then got into the relegation ranks and reached relegation with just two points ahead of them, with Brümmer having completed 14 missions in this season only to the reservists in Rostock.

In the 1970/71 and 1971/72 seasons , in which Rostock occupied places in the middle of the final table, Brümmer was finally hardly called up for Hansa and only completed six or nine games in the major league. This was followed by Brummer's delegation to the BSG Warnowwerft Warnemünde , with which he was relegated from the GDR league in the following season 1972/73 .

In the 1973/74 season Brümmer was in the squad of the league club BSG Chemie Leipzig and completed for this 22 games in the top division of the GDR. Leipzig, however, as penultimate in the table, had to accept relegation to the GDR league, in which the team achieved immediate resurgence in 1974/75 . After Brümmer had played a major role in the re-promotion with 29 point games, there were five more league appearances for the Leipzig team in the 1975/76 season , which, however, immediately had to accept relegation to the GDR league. Then Brümmer moved in the summer of 1976 to the fourth division Stahl Nordwest Leipzig . With this team he rose in 1977 in the Leipzig district league and in 1978 in the GDR league. Before Brümmer ended his football career in 1982, Stahl Nordwest was represented in the GDR league for three years with interruptions.
