Gerhard Breitenberger (born February 7, 1979 ) is an Austrian football player.
Career
Gerhard Breitenberger is the son of the former national player Gerhard Breitenberger . He started his career at SK Bischofshofen , from where he came to the youth department of SV Austria Salzburg . He made his Bundesliga debut on November 27, 1998 against FC Tirol when he came on for Herfried Sabitzer in the 87th minute . In 1999 he was awarded by the Salzburgers to SV Braunau and later to BSV Bad Bleiberg in the first league . After relegation in 2004 he came to SC Austria Lustenau , from where he returned in 2005 to his home club SK Bischofshofen in amateur football.
After two years at home, he went to 1. FC Vöcklabruck in the regional league , from where Breitenberger moved to SK Austria Kärnten after a successful season in the Bundesliga . In January 2009, Breitenberger moved to SV Grödig in the second highest Austrian league, but he could not prevent the relegation of Salzburg . From spring 2011 Gerhard Breitenberger played in the Upper Austrian regional league, in the Braunau district at FC Munderfing. In 2012 he became a player in SC Friedburg (also in the Braunau district).
