Gerhard Miesterfeldt
Gerhard Miesterfeldt (born June 20, 1954 in Freiberg ) is a German SPD politician . From April 2011 to April 2016 he was Vice President of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt . Miesterfeldt has been President of the State Music Council of Saxony-Anhalt since November 2016. V.
Life
From 1961 to 1971 he studied at the Polytechnic High School in Weißenborn near Freiberg . In 1974 he completed vocational training as an agricultural technician with a high school diploma at the BBS Pesterwitz in Dresden / Altroßthal and began studying theology. He was a construction soldier with the NVA . In 1979 he finished his studies in theology at what was then the Friedensau seminary (today Friedensau University of Applied Sciences ) and then worked as a pastor from 1979 to 1983 .
From 1984 to 1990 he worked as a department head at Diakoniewerk Wilhelmshof eV Uchtspringe . In 1987 he became a specialist nurse for psychiatry and neurology.
In October 1989 he joined the Social Democratic Party of the GDR (SDP), later the SPD. From 1990 to 1999 Miesterfeldt was a member of the state party council. He was later chairman of the local SPD association in Halberstadt from 2006 to 2012 . From 2004 to 2006 he was deputy state chairman and from 2006 to 2011 a member of the SPD state executive committee.
From 1990 to 1994 Miesterfeldt was first alderman and department head in the old district of Stendal . After the district reform in 1994 he was district administrator in the district of Stendal until 1998 . From 1998 to 2002 Miesterfeldt held the office of regional president in the administrative district of Magdeburg . In 2003 he was director of the Volkshochschulverband Sachsen-Anhalt and a year later on the board of Wernigerode AG . In 2005 he acted as an advisor to the SPD parliamentary group in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .
Gerhard Miesterfeldt was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from 2006 to 2016 . He represented the constituency of Halberstadt .
