Patrick Puhlmann (* 18th June 1983 in Wittenberg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and, since 2020 district administrator of the district of Stendal .

Life

After graduating from high school in Coswig (Anhalt) and subsequent community service, Puhlmann studied teaching (English and philosophy / ethics for grammar schools) at the University of Jena from 2004 and graduated with the first state examination. After a semester abroad, Puhlmann initially worked as a pedagogical employee from 2011 to 2013 and since autumn 2014 as a team leader in various facilities for the disabled.

Patrick Puhlmann joined the SPD in 2002. From 2013 to 2014 he was a research assistant in the constituency office of the Bundestag member Marina Kermer . Since 2017, Puhlmann has been chairman of the Tangermünde local association and deputy chairman of the Stendal district association. With the district council election in 2019, Puhlmann moved into the district council and became parliamentary group chairman. On November 10, 2019, he won 47 percent of the vote as a challenger to the incumbent Carsten Wulfänger (CDU) in the election to the district administrator of the Stendal district . Puhlmann was the joint candidate of the parties SPD, Die Grünen and Die Linke and was also supported by the FDP. In the runoff election on December 1, 2019, he received 69 percent of the vote and was sworn in as district administrator on March 19, 2020.
