Steffen Burchhardt

Steffen Burchhardt (born May 31, 1981 in Magdeburg ) has been the district administrator of the Jerichower Land district since July 2014 .

Life

He graduated from high school in Burg in 2000. He then did his basic military service from July 2000 to May 2001 with the 7th Company of the Transport Battalion 410 in Burg. This was followed by training as a banker at Dresdner Bank AG from August 2001 to July 2003. From October 2003 he studied economics at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg until March 2008. From April 2008 until June 2014 he was employed as a research assistant at the chair for entrepreneurship at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. Since July 2014 he has been the district administrator of the Jerichower Land district.

Steffen Burchhardt is married and has two sons.

Functions

Steffen Burchhardt ( SPD ) received 68.9 percent of the vote in the runoff election. His competitor Lutz-Georg Berkling ( CDU ), on the other hand, only 31.1 percent. According to election observers, a closer result was actually to be expected. Thus, after Detlev Lehmann and Lothar Finzelberg, he is the third district administrator in Jerichower Land.
