Angelika Klein
Angelika Klein (born July 21, 1951 in Garnsdorf ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). Since 2014 she has held the office of district administrator for the district of Mansfeld-Südharz .
Life and work
Angelika Klein graduated from high school in 1970 and studied to become a certified teacher . In 1978 and 1985 she received her doctorate on the subject of parties and trade unions in the Second International and was a research assistant at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg from 1977 to 1993 . She was then unemployed in 1993/1994 and in an ABM job in 1994/1995 . From 1995 she was regional manager of the PDS Halle / Saalkreis and from 1999 to 2002 research assistant for a member of the German Bundestag .
She is married and has two kids.
Political party
She joined the SED in 1969 and was secretary of the Halle district administration from 1987 to 1989 . From 1993 to 1995 she became a member of the PDS city council in Halle and from 1999 to 2003 she was deputy state chairwoman of her party. Since then she has also been a member of the state executive committee. In addition, she was a member of the Mansfelder Land District Assembly from 2004 to 2007 and of the Mansfeld-Südharz District Assembly since 2007 .
MPs
For the PDS, she moved in 2002 ( 4th term ) in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt , where they for the Left faction in the committee sat for Finance and the Audit Committee. She is also a member of the Enquête Commission on the design of sustainable personnel development in the public service of the state of Saxony-Anhalt .
Chief District Administrator
In the district election on June 15, 2014 in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz, she prevailed in the runoff against the previous district administrator Dirk Schatz ( CDU ). She was sworn in as district administrator on July 16, 2014.
