Gerhard Schönrich

Gerhard Schönrich (born April 29, 1951 ) is a German theoretical philosopher . Since October 1992 he has been a professor at the Technical University of Dresden .

Life

Schönrich studied from 1971 to 1979 as a fellow of the studienstiftung philosophy , modern German literature and linguistics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich . 1974/75 he completed a study visit at the University of Besançon . He received his doctorate in 1979 with Hans Michael Baumgartner and Hermann Krings to the doctor of philosophy . As a result, he worked at the Institute for Philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1980 to 1991 , and completed his habilitation in 1988 .

In 1991/92 Schönrich took over a professorship at the Technical University of Chemnitz , before taking over the professorship for theoretical philosophy at the Institute for Philosophy at the Technical University of Dresden in October 1992 . From February to April 1995 he taught in the Department of Philosophy of the Graduate Faculty at the New School for Social Research .
