Gerhard Wedepohl
Gerhard Wedepohl (* 1893 in Schönebeck near Bremen ; † April 1930 in Bremen ) was a German painter , draftsman , etcher and illustrator . He studied with Johann Vincenz Cissarz and Alexander Eckener at the Stuttgart Academy . His motifs were mainly landscapes, his works can be assigned to the so-called Heimatstil . Wedepohl became known for his series of drawings of individual cities (Alt-Minden, Alt-Herford, Bielefeld, Melle, Münster, Osnabrück, Ravensberg and others). He worked with Ludwig Bäte on several book projects .
